The Amazing NACE

The Amazing NACE Annual Fundraiser

The AMAZING NACE, our Annual Fundraiser, will be held on Thursday, August 16th. We are working on all the details currently for this nationally recognized and award-winning event, which includes a fun-filled evening with team activities, wonderful food, entertainment and Barrel O'Fun Raffle. We will be hosting the event at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller’s own Barrel O’Fun as well as other participating venues in the area. We have partnered with GoGame to create an event that is sure to include lots of laughs, challenges, networking and of course, food and beverage.

Our fundraising proceeds benefit the Foundation of NACE and provide NACE-member scholarships in support of attendance at the organization's National Educational and Leadership Conference with the ultimate goal of helping develop the next generation of leaders in our local global catering and events industry.

CAUSE OF THE QUARTER:
Sustainable Food Center (SFC)

SFC Sustainable Food CenterLocated in Austin, Texas and founded in 1993, with roots dating back to 1975 as Austin Community Gardens, Sustainable Food Center is involved in every step of our local, Central Texas, food system. SFC's mission is to cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious, affordable food. SFC envisions a food-secure community where all children and adults grow, share, and prepare healthy, local food.

From seed to table, SFC creates opportunities for individuals to make healthy food choices and to participate in a vibrant local food system. Through organic food gardening, relationships with area farmers, interactive cooking classes, and nutrition education, children and adults have increased access to locally grown food and are empowered to improve the long-term health of Central Texans and our environment.
