June NACE Austin Meeting: Know Your XYZsJodi Cullen

For the first time in history, there are four distinct and very different generations working together in
the workplace. This diversity is dramatically changing the dynamics in the workplace-- -and, in many
cases, leading to undeniable tension. In this session, we’ll start with a general overview of the
different generations to get a good understanding of how we got to where we are today and why such
tension exists.

We will then focus in on Gen Y & Z by outlining why they are so relevant, what drives their decision
making process and some common misconceptions that are made about the newest members of our
workforce. We will discuss strategies for working with and managing next generations, what
motivates them in the workplace (and what doesn’t!), and what you can do to better connect with and
lead them as your staff continues to change in the coming years. Meet us on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Mercury Hall.

Austin Angels

Austin Angels is a local organization dedicated to serving children in the foster care system. Their mission is to walk alongside children in the foster care system, as well as their caretakers, by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building and mentorship.

Our dream is to see every child in the foster care system supported by a Love Box group. We serve just under 200 children in central Texas through our Love Box program. There are currently over 5,600 children in foster homes or substitute care services in central Texas alone. Our long-term vision is to open chapters in every major metropolitan city in the nation, so every single child in foster care in the United States will be supported and empowered to succeed.

For more information check out their website (https://www.austinangels.com/) and make sure to donate to our Cause of the Quarter when you register for the next meeting!
